‘Dendrobium nobile Lindl’ growing on trees

Dendrobium nobile Lindl., also known as Golden Hairpin Dendrobium, Golden Hairpin Flower, and Thousand-Year Moisture, is a plant belonging to the Dendrobium genus of the Orchidaceae family.

The stems of Dendrobium nobile are erect, fleshy, and thick, with a slightly flattened cylindrical shape. The leaves are leathery and oblong.

The raceme inflorescence arises from the middle or upper part of old stems that have leaves or have lost their leaves. The petals are more or less oblique-ovate, with green column bases, and the anthers are purplish-red and conical.

The fruit of Dendrobium is a capsule, shaped like a long ellipse or pear, with numerous tiny seeds. The flowering period is from April to May.
