Musk Dendrobium (scientific name: Dendrobium parishii), also known as purple-petaled Dendrobium, is famous for its gorgeous flowers and unique musky aroma.
The flowers are also very beautiful, with dark purple and black petals that are thin enough to reflect sunlight.

The flowering period is spring, and the fragrance is rich and long-lasting. The fragrance is not like that of ordinary flowers, but rather seems to come out from the cracks in the drawers of a pharmacy, with three parts of spiciness, seven parts of clarity, and a bit of sweetness, which makes people stunned when they smell it.
Musk Dendrobium is native to Yunnan, Guizhou, China and the mountains of Southeast Asia. It grows epiphytically on tree trunks or rocks and prefers a warm and humid semi-shady environment.

Due to its ornamental and aromatic value, it is often cultivated on boards and tied to wooden boards or snakewood to simulate wild cultivation. (Artificial cultivation of Musk Dendrobium has become popular and can be bought in flower markets)
